My kitchen has a glossy white ceramic backsplash. Random tiles have a fruit motif scattered around the backsplash-design appears to be some sort of decal that was applied on top of the tile. I would like to update the kitchen and get rid of these fruit motifs. I have tried Goof-Off, soap, Comet and they do not budge. Does anyone have any other ideas without damaging the tiles–I would like to just have the plain white tiles as I do not want to tear out the tile. Thanks for your suggestions!

if its a ceramic tile it probally is not a decal. most tiles are painted with a design and then fired in a kiln. but you can try goof off,acetone, paint thinner, finger nail polish remover.
Scrape with old credit card and see if it will remove the actual decal. I sometimes use cards to scrape delicate surfaces to keep from scratching. Maybe try nail polish remover or alcohol for the adhesive? You could also try acetone from the hardware store. (Be sure to follow the label, this stuff has major fumes.) Be sure to test in a hidden spot first, just in case. Post your results, I’m curious. Good luck!
Try Goo Gone in the spray bottle
You can also try warm vinegar water
that has been put in a spray bottle
Mix more vinegar than water together
Try to score the decal gently with
a exactor blade before use the Goo
Gone or especially the vinegar water

use methylated spirits, soak well,scrape off as much as you can, then finish with white vinegar
